ASSIGNMENT 2 -THREE SOLUTIONS AND FINAL SOLUTIONS-

After using all the methods in generating the ideas, we finally come out with all sorts of solutions. Some are illogical and crazy ideas, some are logical and common. Hence, we decided to sort out all the solutions that we have found. We categorized the solutions into How to Go?, How to Earn ? and How to Save?

Here is the list of solutions after we’ve categorized it:

How to Go?

1) Whenever I need to cross the sea in order to reach other country, I will ride on the dolphins, as a mean of transportation which can save my expenses.

2) Install an Astro at home, watch the Discovery Channel in order to imagine the pace of travel around.

3) Ride on different animal like elephants, donkeys, horses and so on as a mean of transportation which can save our cost when we travel.

4) We create flying machine like aeroplane ourself, just like how Wright Brothers creates their own airplane.

5) Be a famous athletic, in order to be the representative from your country to participate the sports competition around the world.

6) Travel around the country by using the hot air balloon.

7) Dream of traveling around the world when one is anticipating so hard for it.

8) Refer the story books and tell the story about traveling around the world

9) Disney Land production produces a new movie of traveling around the world, join and be the crew for the movie so you can grab the chance to travel as well.

10) Design a time machine that can help us to travel around the equator, seeing how the Earth turns as a mean of travelling around the world.

11) Design and work on the teleport machine (technology) so that one can travel to another place within a second.

12) Design a unique logo for a company so that he or she can win the award and travel around to design for the others.

13) Be the top washing face advertisement model so that your advertisement will be able to show in other every country around the world.

14) Go to Pizza Hut and order special food from all around the world as a mean of travel around the world by eating their food.

15) Grab a movie of Travel around the World in 80 Days in cinema, try to imagine if you were Jacky Chan.

16) Be the participants of American Top Model so that you will be on broadcast around the world.

17) Create a kind of shirt that enables a person to turn to be invisible at night, so that person can travel around the world by entering the plane without buying the air ticket.

How to Save?
1) Try to be nice to everyone when you are at other countries and have a list of adopted mother in every country so that you stay at a so- called “home” when you travel around.

2) Get the cheap ticket of travelling around the world during the budget airline sale bonanza.

3) Try to delay your time of booking the last minute air ticket so that it will be cheaper.

4) Try to enter a hotel after 8pm so that you can bargain the price with the hotel management.

5) Check the airline website frequently so that you can book for a free ticket instantly whenever there is a special promotion.

How to Earn?

1) Join the volunteer of cleaning up the disaster mess so that I will have a free meal and accommodation to stay when I travel around.

2) Try to be the performer, especially those who always use the mask to cover the face, not wanting to let others to know who is he or she, keeping mystery to all the others in order to earn more money.

3) Join in the competition of eating the shit in order to gain a large amount of money.

4) Collect the useful tins from dustbin and sell it so that we can gain a sum of money in order to survive in other country.
5) Get the job of being a security guard for an exhibition so that you can earn the money while getting a free accommodation of staying there.

6) Collect a series of ancient coins and sell it to the others so that we can get an extra money when we are in other countries.

7) Join in the competition of drinking 5 liter water in 5 minutes, gain the prizes (in cash) and use it to travel around the world.

8) A tall person can be a model, when the model becomes popular, he or she will be able to do performance around the world

9) A person with a good service skill can work as a waitress anywhere, earning money to continue the journey.

10) A young person is able to work hard to earn money, knowing lots of people and able to grab the chance of going to travel.

11) Try to be a stand up comedian that can have funny comedy to talk about so that you can earn a sum of money whenever you go.

Top Three Solutions:

1. Use Virtual Reality to travel around the world.

(VR is technology software that allows people to interact with a computer simulated environment, it can be a real or imagined one. Normally, it is either display on a computer screen or through a special stereoscopic display. User can interact with a virtual artifact or known as virtual environment through the standard input devices such as keyboard and mouse. In this case, they can enjoy mentally travel around the world with their five senses.)

2. Use teleportation to travel around the world.

( It is the movement of matter from one place to another, more or less instantaneously. In the future, once we use the teleportation, we can save the time and space of traveling around the world. We can easily reach our destination without hassle or get stuck in the traffic. It is indeed a good form of transportation for a traveler in the near future.)

3. Earn and save to travel around the world.

(It is very easy to understand that in order to travel around, you definitely need a sum of money. However, if you know the proper way of earning the money while traveling, you can definitely have enough money with you throughout the whole journey. You may earn the money by using your skills. Besides, saving the cost is essential too. For example, a traveler might want to stay overnight at friends’ house rather than staying in hotel.)

Final Solution:

Go into the virtual world, learn the tips and tricks of traveling around the world and apply it to the real trip.

( It is important for a traveler to fully understand what is needed or required before he or she goes for a trip. Hence, by using the virtual reality, a person can travel mentally and able to understand each of the locations, and where to get cheaper food or accommodation. After that, when we go for the actual trip, we can straight away apply what we’ve played and explored in virtual reality into the reality world. )

ASSIGNMENT 2 -CONCEPT-(Method : Random Image or Word Association)

In order for us to further understand about our problem, we come up with a concept, which is “Bring Less, Travel More!” We choose this concept because 1000 USD is a small amount of money for a person to travel around the world, so in that case, it’s consider as LESS. Furthermore, if a traveler can travel around by bringing lesser belongings, just a beg, a passport, a sum of money, a map, and a language dictionary, it’s easier for him or her to travel from one place to another.

So, after understanding our concept, we will 2 kinds of method in finding the ideas, which are Random Words/ Image Association and Associative Mind Mapping.

Concept:Bring less, travel more.
(It’s straight to piont that we want to set a challenge of bringing less things or possesions, and explore to more country. In this case , it’ll be very attractive and able to gain others attention.)
